Caleb Kow
Director of Asia Pacific, OpenSRS
Caleb is a serial entrepreneur with over 15 years of progressive experience in the IT industry, focusing on telecommunications, network infrastructure and data center services. He is currently the Director of Asia-Pacific for OpenSRS, the world’s largest wholesale-focused Internet domain name registrar under the Tucows (NASDAQ: TCX) group of companies. Prior to this, Caleb started ventures in the telecommunications and data center space which were successfully acquired by leading private equity firms in the United States. Caleb is actively involved in supporting entrepreneurship and innovation capability development efforts in Singapore, being a frequent speaker at events organized by Ngee-Ann Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, Singapore Management University and the University of Adelaide. He also sits on the executive committee board of the Singapore Space and Technology Association, and in 2013 was chosen by the Internet Society for its Next-Generation Leaders program. In his spare time, Caleb reminds himself of his programming roots by attempting to (rather unsuccessfully) write code.
Leong Wai Khong
Head of Multimedia Design Department, The One Academy Penang
For over fifteen years, Wai Khong has worked as a Multimedia Design academician, staying focused and on-trend with Multimedia Design education and its industry.
He first joined The One Academy of Communication Design in 2000, where he worked as a web and interaction design specialist in the Multimedia Department. The One Academy soon proved its worth in producing industry-standard graduates and in 2009—they pursued north and opened a branch in Penang named The One Academy Penang.
Today, The One Academy is internationally recognized as one of the most respected institutions in art, computer graphics and communication design.
Vin Lim
Co-founder of Green Room
Vin is the co-founder of Green Room – leading mobile apps & web development company, with portfolio covering major international & local brands.
He is also a self-thought programmer with focus on Laravel and HTML5. Vin’s enthusiasm in building tech community led to the founding of Startup Penang with fellow startups in the region in 2011.
He was also the co-founder of Google Developers Group George Town in 2014. During the same year, he organized Google DevFest George Town which saw over 700 participants, further fuelling the startup bloom in northern region.
